Radical Polish Ansambl – “Nierozpoznana wieś” wins 1st place in the finals of the “New Tradition” Folk Music Competition by Polish Radio!
The album Nierozpoznana wieś by Radical Polish Ansambl, released by Ośrodek Rozdroża at the end of 2024, has been awarded the title of Folk Album of the Year 2024 in the prestigious New Tradition Folk Music Competition organized by the Polish Radio’s Folk Culture Center (Radiowe Centrum Kultury Ludowej).
The album premiered during last year’s edition of the KODY Festival.
At the same festival, another album published by Ośrodek Rozdroża — by Piotr Gary Gwadera — also had its premiere and made it to the list of finalists for the Folk Album of the Year 2024!
The New Tradition Polish Radio Folk Music Festival has been held since 1998 and is considered one of the most important folk music events in Poland. Its aim is to promote Polish music inspired by traditional sounds, enriched with contemporary arrangements and artistic innovation.
