CODES 2023: volunteers wanted!

The Centre for Intercultural Creative Initiatives ROZDROŻA is looking for volunteers to work with this year’s edition of the Festival of Tradition and Musical Avant-Garde KODY, which will take place on 24-28 May 2023.

The Festival of Tradition and Musical Avant-Garde KODY is one of the most appreciated musical events in Poland. It has been held in Lublin continuously since 2009. The programme of this year’s edition will include 6 concerts by Polish and foreign artists, including a performance by the 2022 Grammy Award winner – Arooj Aftab, and a concert by BIT20, one of Norway’s most pedigreed new music ensembles, featuring prominent traditional-style singer Berit Opheim. In addition, the following have been planned: a traditional Dance Night, traditional dance workshops, and a poster and photo exhibition summarising 15 years of the Festival’s presence on the cultural map of Poland.

The volunteer’s work will mainly consist of:

– servicing the festival club,

– taking care of artists,

– serving spectators and cloakrooms during festival events,

– organisational support in arranging space for the events (concerts, exhibitions, workshops),

– distribution of promotional materials,

– support of promotional activities in social media and communication channels of the ROZDROŻA Centre.

Participation in the organisation of the Festival KODY is a unique opportunity to learn, gain practical experience, test yourself in unusual situations, but also a chance to make new friends and have fun with fantastic music.
